Alain plays an important role in Mega Man X: Unit 49, being the leader of the Blue Wing Party of Earth's Government and one of the few councillors who still acknowledges the deeds of the Maverick Hunters and trusts their potential, despite their current structural crisis.

Personality

Alain is a honest man, being realistic in his speeches and suspecting of Raffould's actions, since the Red Wing is always manipulative and their ideals diverge in fundamental aspects. Alain seems to sympathize with the Maverick Hunters and does not feel good with the Red Wing trying to replace them with the Earth Army, since they have saved Earth several times and do not deserve to suffer such a tragic fate.

History

Not much is known about Alain's past, but he probably joined the Council due to influence of his father, founder of the Blue Wing.

Alain convoked an emergency in the Winter Base to discuss about the security of the world after the Operation Doomsday, which resulted in the creation of the Earth Army. He hesitates in trusting Raffould's proposal, but accepts in the end, since there is no better option.

Later, in Eerie Changes, he makes a honest speech about the situation of the government and says that the Earth Army project cannot be finished so quickly, otherwise the Government would put itself in an economical crisis and worse the problems in the Moon colonies, who have been impaired by the ban on Copy Chips. He says that it is their turn to make something for the Maverick Hunters: save the world.
